China Telecom is the leading provider of wireline telecommunications services in China, providing voice, data, image, multimedia and telecommunications and information services. The Group consists of 21 provincial corporations in South China, and 10 provincial branches in the North, with a registered capital of $19 billion and total assets of over $64 billion by the end of 2003.

On Nov.15, 2002, China Telecom Corporation Limited successfully completed its global IPO at Hong Kong and New York Stock Exchange.

China Telecom has 215MillionFixed line Subscribers (including 58 million PHS subscribers) and 22Million Broadband Subscribers. In 2005 its revenue reached $20.7Billion, with a growth rate of 6.5%.

FMC services are considered to be critical point of differentiation against the competitors.
