Royal Dutch KPN is active as fixed & mobile operator in The Netherlands and as mobile operator in Germany and Belgium under the brands E-Plus respectively BASE. Furthermore KPN offers a portfolio of data services targeted to business customers in Western Europe.

KPN are market leader in the major segments of the Dutch telecom market and are actively growing our market share in the new IP and DSL markets. As of March 31, 2005, KPN serves 7.4 million fixed-line subscribers in the Netherlands, of which 1.7 million have DSL. KPN has a total of 17.7 million mobile (GSM) customers in Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium and is rolling out UMTS services in each of these countries.

KPN believes that the Convergence of voice and data combined with wireless connectivity provides a great opportunity to offer better and more convenient services to our customers, using both fixed and mobile networks. Therefore KPN supports the FMCA.
