FMCA Vendor Affiliation Programme

The FMCA Vendor Affiliation Programme (VAP) provides a framework for joint telecom operator and vendor collaboration towards the delivery of the FMCA Priority Programmes:

• Customer-driven product and service requirements.

• Harmonisation of FMCA Operator-Vendor roadmaps and visions.

• Reduce the time it takes for new services to hit the market.

• Knowledge sharing at technical and market levels.
   

The aim being to identify as well as address key technical requirements through the timely generation and delivery of Work Items which may form part of final Product Requirement Definitions, PRD's, and other publishable technical materials.

It should be noted that the FMCA is not a Standards Development Organisation. It therefore does not aim to create standards but rather to accelerate the development and adoption of the Convergence technologies by producing common telecom operator requirements for Converged products and services in areas such as devices, access points, network architecture, roaming and authentication as well as applications.

Equipment Vendors, Component Suppliers and Applications Developers wishing to join the FMCA must request FMCA VAP application forms from Emma Dixon (emma.dixon@thefmca.com ), FMCA Senior Marketing and PR Manager.
